Inside Our House | The Third Floor

I intended to show you from the ground up, but this is the only floor with photos so far, so this is where I'll start. :)

The 3rd level of our home is our kitchen, dining, and living room plus the theater room, a bathroom, a 3 seasons porch, and a deck.  Here a few photos to show you the space.  We don't really plan to change anything except the kitchen.  In the next few years we would like to remodel this kitchen and take some of the current cabinets downstairs to the garage for a little kitchen/bar area.  Other than that, in my 10 year dreams I would like to get a new vanity for the bathroom, but that's about it.  Maybe add a dining set to the porch if we find the right one.

The natural light is one of the main reasons we bought this house.  The views of the lake in the winter are breathtaking and I can't wait to watch fall through these windows! :)

Also wanting to change out this chair.  I have looked and looked but apparently what I want isn't being made -- haha!

We have big curtains that still need hung on each side of the screen to make it feel more 'movie theaterish'.  We also need a stand to put our popcorn machine on.

Family Date :: Bowling

Last Friday night we made plans to meet our friends, Jon & Jess and their two kids at Val-Lanes bowling alley. Adam and I bowled one time while dating, be before that I hadn't bowled since high school, so it was pretty comical!  To say our kids loved it would be an understatement!  Next time we're getting a lane for the kids and a lane for the adults because they kept stealing our turns.  I'm totally blaming them for my sub 80 score! ;)  None of the kids liked the little wooden thing that helps kids bowl.  They instead opted for the throw-it-from-your-chest and watch it bounce and then creeeeeep down the lane method. ;)  They were so stinking cute in those bowling shoes though, so we didn't even care!

Adam captured this one for me! ;)

More family dates for us this year...

Progress on the House! {paint + our stuff}

There are still several projects we want to do with the new house, but I thought I would show you are current look.  After paint + our furniture.
The front door...

New light {World Market} installed by my dad
New hardware installed by my BIL ;)
New rug {Target}
The dining room...

a huge mirror {417DesignsIA}
A new rug {AtHome}
 If you go out the patio doors by the kitchen, you walkout onto a large deck.

My desk {housing Adam's work computer when I took this photo}

Stairway to the living room

The living room {with a peek of our kitchen!}

Same decor as the condo {I order new photos for the frames which should be in today}
Ugh!  I don't even want to share this photo because the cords make me cringe that bad! We're hoping to install built-ins around the TV soon!  We're also planning to replace the carpet and get new furniture.

A glimpse of the downstairs entry way off the garage.

Main bathroom...

The downstairs toyroom/guest room...

The washer/dryer and utilities...
Ugliest room, without a doubt, but it houses some of my favorite new things -- a tankless water heater {holla!}, whole home humidity system {score!}, & a water softener {yes please!} #OldLady

Upstairs {off the dining area} is the kids' bedrooms, a bathroom, and our bedroom/bathroom.

The kids' rooms are my favorite!  I'm still waiting on a few details, so I'll do a detailed post on them soon.
In the meantime, a sneak peek of Cullyn's room...

And a sneak peek of Jordyn's room...

The kids' bathroom...

The hallway...

Our room...

I'll post photos of the outside space when the snow melts! ;)
