The kids first Vikings game

For Christmas, we got the kids tickets to their first Minnesota Vikings game.  Well their first NFL game, too I guess.  Our friends Jon & Jess and their boys were there too, so we stayed in a hotel in the night before and went to the game together.  We always like to stop at The Vikings Longhouse before the game to get in the spirit.  The kids got to meet the cheerleaders, so that was fun.

As for the game itself, the Vikings sadly lost to the Bears, but it was a great game!  Especially when you consider none of the Vikings starters played.  I was worried the kids would get bored, as football games can get a little long sometimes, but neither kid seemed bored at all.  We did however spend $6157248645 dollars on food! ;)

It's been so long since we were there I can't even remember where we ate {sad!} but I do remember we stated at the Hilton Downtown Minneapolis {thanks Priceline!} and it was beautiful!  Longtime followers know how much my kids love a good hotel!  It's all about the pools and the two double beds to jump back and forth on.  :)

My Family Photos | Summer 2018

My sister and her husband were home this briefly in June, so we had some updated family photos taken.  As you know, this is never an easy task.  The schedules, the outfits, the weather, the smiles...all of it.  To top it off Lola {who's never leashed} was leashed while walking up the hill to this photo location, managed to pull me down to the dirt right before the pictures.  I truly didn't know if I should laugh or cry.  I chose laugh.
Here are a few of my favorites...

The Best Thing I Did in 2017

We were blessed to do some fun things in 2017 {We got a new puppy!, Adam and I went to St. Lucia & Mexico, we also went to Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, the Ozarks, and Illinois for starters} but hands down the best thing I did in 2017 was start taking video footage of our every day life!  That sounds fancy considering it was just candid moments captured with my iPhone 6!

I downloaded the 1 Second Everyday app {free at the time, $5 now I believe}.  We had so much fun doing this and it's invaluable!  I plan to continue it in 2018.  It's super easy {you can take 3 videos one day and just upload them to separate days if you get behind}.  I did find I preferred videos recorded horizontally.  Let me know if you have any questions -- I would be happy to help you.

Family Photos | Summer 2017

On quite possibly the hottest, muggiest day of June 2017, I put on the tightest pair of camo pants I owned, grabbed our warmest blanket and pillows and we headed out for 'firefly lane' with our photographer.  Given all of the above and the fact that this was directly after work {during the month we're commuting 80 miles to and from work} and I didn't even have time to shower and properly get ready, I would say they turned out pretty good.  ;)

My favorite people in my favorite place...happy memories for sure!!
