5 Year Travel Plan

I got this idea from the Best of Both Worlds podcast.  They suggested making a 5 year travel plan.  They had me at travel and planning -- haha!  If you're interested in making one too, here are a few helpful tips...

  • Plan out the year, how old you {your travel partner{s}, children, etc.} will be.

  • Think of any other 'large' events that year. {weddings, graduations, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, etc.}

  • Decide your budget and number of trips you pan to take {Spring break, summer, Labor Day weekend, Christmas, etc.}

For example...
2022 {ages 41, 35, 10, 9}
JUNE - Adult Siblings Trip - Beach
AUGUST - Family Trip - East Coast

2023 {ages 42, 36, 11, 10}
SPRING - Family Trip - Kentucky
SUMMER - Family Trip - Chicago
DECEMBER - Christmas Trip - Southwest

2024 {ages 43, 37, 12, 11}
*J turns 13 this fall, so a special trip of her choice could happen.
*13th Anniversary for Adam & I

SPRING - Adult Trip - Cabo
SUMMER - Family Trip - Florida
OCTOBER - Birthday Trip - TBD
NOVEMBER - 15 Year Anniversary Trip - Vermont?  International?

2025 {ages 44, 38, 13, 12}
SPRING - Adult Trip - Florida
SUMMER - Family Trip - Northwest
DECEMBER - Christmas Trip - Skiing

2026 {ages 45, 39, 14, 13}
*C turns 13 this year, so a special trip of his choice could happen.
*I turn 40 this year, so that would be noteworthy as I may have a special trip in mind.
APRIL - Birthday Trip - TBD
SUMMER - Family Trip - South
OCTOBER - Adult Trip - International
