This & That {v.29}

So incredibly overwhelmed right now.  I pretty much don't even remember when blogging is since I'm lucky to post twice a week right night.  Hello new student season at my real job & outdoor photoshoot season at my photography business...
-----------------
Did this:
Posted Iowa State Fair {mini} sessions
Took the kids to a follow up at the ENT {back in 2 months for J & 6 months for C, if not before.  Cullyn lost his right tube and had uninfected fluid in his left ear.  Jordyn lost her right tube or it is clogged.  She also has fluid in her left ear.  Talk of removing her tonsils & adenoids in the future}
Took Cullyn to his 15 month well check {2 shots, 10th% for weight & 11% for height}
Took Jordyn to Art Class at the library
Went to the park with the kids
Spent the weekend at the lake
Photographed baby Jade {3 months}
Went Paddleboarding for the first time.
Hosted Adam's cousin, husband, & two adorable children from Oklahoma at the lake! :)
Ate pizza from the pizza box lid at the park
Broke into our house after being locked out for 2 hours on Sunday night. :

Jordyn Lynn [7 Months]

Wow, did we have fun this month or what?!  You traveled to Tulsa/Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for a wedding and South Padre Island/San Antonio, Texas for a beach vacation by car this month [and did amazing might I add!].  So you had your first long distance car ride, first wedding, first hotel stay and first trip to the beach this month!

Another first for you this month is that you're saying 'da-da' all the time!  It breaks my heart that you aren't saying mama, but totally melts my heart that you're such a daddy's girl!  You're also holding your bottle on your own now [talk about a BIG girl!]  You're growing up so fast!
Always on the move now!
You are about 18lbs 1oz and 26" now.  You wear 6 month onsies and clothing, 9 month pajamas and size 2 diapers. You had babyfood for the first time this month.  You love your veggies, especially cauliflower and peas!  So far, you like everything you've tried [peas, carrots, avacado, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower].
Your schedule looks something like this...8a [bottle], 10a [nap], 12p [veggies & bottle], 2p [nap], 4p [bottle], 6p [veggies], and 8p [bottle]. You don't really let us rock you anymore, you prefer to me set in your crib to go to bed [around 8/9p].
Love you to the moon & back baby girl,
Mama and Daddy
Silly girl!  Lots of teething faces! :)

And yes, in case you wondered she does like to eat my calendar! :)

OK[lahoma]

I consider Jordyn a good traveler, after all she is used to making the 1-2 hour drive to the lake house [or sometimes my hometown] almost every weekend.  But I was still concerned [to say the least] about the 8 hour drive to Oklahoma.  We left early Friday morning for a the wedding that evening to give us lots of time for stops.  It helped that it was just my Husband, Jordyn, my in laws and myself.  We packed up, grabbed breakfast and headed out.  Jordyn ended up only sleeping approximately 15 minutes, but NOT MAKING ONE SOUND the entire drive there!  That that worrying for nothing! :)

We checked into the Hyatt in downtown Tulsa, went to lunch dinner and cleaned up for the wedding.  Adam's cousin Kris married their daughter Paisley's mama, Starr.  It was a gorgeous evening and we had a blast!  Except for the part where Abby in [very] high heals [4 drinks in] + running fast [for me] in circles, chasing our cousin's daughter = Abby face planting the center of the universe and getting seven several battle scars!

The next day we packed up and went out to breakfast before heading to Broken Arrow [a suburb] to spend the day at Rooster Days [the annual Broken Arrow, OK fair] followed by dinner at Oklahoma Joes and checking into out hotel there.  The next morning [Sunday] we packed up and headed out fairly early. On the way home we tried Church's Chicken for the first time.  Nothing special! :)

First time at the fair and you slept through it all! :)

Vaca & Sickness [OK|TX]

It's been 16 days since I posted so I just wanted to let you know we're home.
Alive and kicking...barely!

In the 3 days between Vacation 1 [Oklahoma] and Vacation 2 [Texas] I managed to get the flu which made working, unpacking, laundering, and repacking pretty interesting!

While on our second vacation [Texas] my husband no so conveniently got Shingles [ya know, that itchy, painful, have to go to urgent care kind?  ya that!]

On our way home 3 of the 4 adults experienced food poisoning.  So our car ride home was filled with many, many stops.  And vomiting in plastic bags in the car in between.

To top it off, since we got home Jordyn has developed red blotches around her diaper line and in other warm areas [armpits, thigh creases, etc.]  We're praying it's just heat rash or something with the chance in elements and not an allergic reaction to something or the chicken pox [since she is the only one at risk to get them from Adam].

While we wait to see if she gets better or worse, we're just unpacking and repacking for the lake house this weekend.  Yep, we'll be sleeping in our bed 4 of the last 18 nights.  No rest for the weary!

Have a blessed Memorial Weekend and hopefully I'll be back with lots of vacation details soon!
