Happy Halloween...from the H's

As a child we had an older mailman, Charlie, for years.  Every day we would run across the street to Charlie's old beat up pick up truck and wait for him to hand us our mail for the day.  Except on Halloween...on that day he would not only hand us our mail, but also a homemade orange popcorn ball from his wife.  It was the only day of the year we had popcorn balls & is a halloween memory I will never forget.  So even though we have never had a Trick-or-Treater come to our condo, I couldn't help but get the urge to buy these when I saw them at the store the other day.

What are you handing our for Trick-or-Treating [or beggers night as this crazy town that we live in calls it!]?  Do you have a favorite Halloween candy or memory?

  2. When I was little, there was this sweet old lady who air popped pop corn and bagged it up, complete with a pretty bow. She lined her staircase with it and all the kids loved her house. Her son had a pet snake though, which scared us all as year after year, he had it around his neck. I was so sad after she passed away - something about her pop corn just tasted better!

    Happy Halloween!
