Our 1st REAL Christmas Tree!

10 photos is what I got before my battery died -- go figure!  But I had to post this because we had the most memorable tree finding experience!  30 seconds into our 'hunt' Cullyn took a snowball to the face {from Adam}.  Luckily there were no tears.  The didn't have a ton of fir trees {3 to be exact} and the ones they did have here way {& by way I mean down the hill, past the pond, over the mud path, across the dam, down the hill and in the corner -- honestly!} far away.  The trek to find them wasn't bad, downhill mostly, but the hike back up was brutal {just ask Adam who was carrying our 8.5 foot tree!} All of that was funny, but we truly had a great time.  We don't have snow yet at our house, so lots of snowballs were thrown and a snowman was even created.

Gingerbread Houses

When the house kit you bought is cracked and won't stay together, you improvise and decorate the roof.  Thank goodness the kids are easy to please! ;)

It's December!

I blinked and 2017 is almost over!  I have no idea what happened to this fall, but it's flown by faster than ever!  My blogging, similar to photographing my own family, has reached a record low over the past 6 months.  It felt so good to take the kids out to the Christmas tree farm and get a few photos!  It's amazing how much quicker photos go as the kids get older! :)  I hope you're all enjoying your December!

North Pole Party | 2015

Get ready for photo overload, because this was probably the highlight of my 2015 Christmas season. The kids and I threw our 1st Annual North Pole Party {inspired by}  Unfortunately December is busy, so many people couldn't attend, but it was the best Sunday afternoon we had all December. :)

We kicked dad out, started a fire, simmered cinnamon, cranberries, and orange slices on the stove and started the Christmas music before our friends arrived for an afternoon of Christmas...
