We kind of celebrated Easter all week long :) The weekend before the kids got out the Resurrection Eggs and did those independently {how are they that old?!} They also got the plastic eggs out and started doing nearly daily Easter egg hunts {also, by themselves #LazyMama} Adam cooked the eggs so Monday evening we could dye them. We used this method.
We snacked from the egg tray all week long. :)
On Wednesday, the Easter Bunny surprised us at our house.
On Thursday, Jordyn made this chocolate masterpiece. YUM!
On Friday, Jordyn made resurrection rolls for us.
Saturday we went to my niece's 3rd Birthday Party
and stayed for HOURS letting the kids play on this & take advantage of the unseasonably warm day!
That Night, Adam's band played, so I woke up to this. #BandLife
The kids were up bright and early to open their Easter Baskets. I really went overboard on Valentine's Day {I have no idea why!} so I was very intentional about just sticking in a few things they need {swimsuits, sandals, etc.} and a few thing they want {apron and necklace for J, and a Fortnite giftcard for C}.
Afterwards they got ready for Church
and then we did an egg hunt. *I just DO NOT care to hide egg, I never have. So I FINALLY outsourced this task. #BestDecisionEver! Double bonus, a local charity did this as a fundraiser this year!
Then we all went to church and afterwards headed to Ankeny for Easter with my family. {We trade every other year}
My mom made ham, twice baked potatoes, cornbread, asparagus
After lunch we hung out outside all afternoon -- swimming {the kids}, croquet {the adults}, an Easter egg hunt {the kids}, and of course confetti eggs {the kids + me!}
And then the kids went home with Gram & Papa for the night since they didn't have school Monday. Adam and I headed home with sun-kissed skin & happy hearts.
