Ideas for a fun NYE at home

Most years, we celebrate Noon Year's Eve at home with the kids instead of 'going out' that evening.  However, I know many people will be staying in for the first time years, so I wanted share a few ideas we use to make celebrating at home fun.  Obviously this is a family friendly event for us, but I think adults could have fun with a lot of these ideas too!

Floating Lanterns | Star Sparklers | 3 Foot SparklersDrink Shimmers {for alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages!} | Champagne Straws | Fairy String Lights | Glow Sticks | Silly String | Balloons | Party Hats | Bubbles | Confetti Cannons | Party Horns | Funfetti Cake Mix | Champagne Flutes | Tall Cake Candles | Light Up Balloons | Balloon Arch

  1. Bake a cake or cookies
  2. Light sparklers or lanterns
  3. Cheers with sparkling cider, milk, or your favorite beverage
  4. Blow bubbles -- if you're in a cold enough environment they'll freeze!
  5. Crank up the party music & have a silly string fight
  6. Paint your nails a sparkly color
  7. Setup a little photobooth with some 2021 balloons
  8. Have everyone write down a few of their favorite memories and store them away to open up next New Year's Eve
  9. Count down from 10 and pop confetti poppers outside
  10. Light up balloons or glow sticks -- we used to do these in the bathtub when the kids were little, how they like to go into a dark room and play 'Don't Drop the Balloon'

When the kids were little I would get balloons for 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 o'clock and do an activity every hour.

*Don't forget to dig out your most flashy clothes -- a sequin dress or neon t-shirt! & Disco Balls -- all the disco balls! 😍

2020 | 2019 | 2018 | 2017 {Adam's Band Played} | 2016 {the year of no party!} | 2015 | 2011 {a throwback!}
