Sadly, we didn't get any 'real' photos of the kids in their Halloween costumes this year, but we did make time for a few Halloween activities...
Trunk or Treat
at the YMCA. This was our first Trunk or Treat experience. It didn't start until dark, so I didn't get any good photos, but we will definitely be going back again next year. Jordyn went on some of the inflatables, and then we trunk or treated, and before we left we grabbed a photo in the 'photobooth' area. The local churches sponsor this event for the community and they have free water, popcorn, caramel apples, and cotton candy. Aunt Ashley & Uncle Myles joined in on the fun, too. :)
Trick or Treating
in Uptown Ankeny. We did this with our friends last year. This year we recruited Auntie Ashy to go with us. The weather was perfect, so it was awesome this year. Both kids enjoyed walking around and getting suckers candy.
Sadly, I was having issues with my camera. I think they need all of the sand cleaned out of them! :)
We also painted pumpkins with friends. They got Monsters Inc from Aunty Esha & Uncle Brad and shirts & snacks from Gram & Papa. We made all kinds of Halloween treats for daycare & preschool. And daycare had a Halloween party {that I was able to help with}.
We skipped out on the real Trick or Treating this year {I'm afraid this was probably the last year we'll get away with that} but we did go over to Aunt Ashley & Uncle Myles to hand out candy & eat pizza. :)
