{Elmo Live}

Adam & I were so good about taking Jordyn for solo dates right after Cullyn was born, but over a year later, we were slacking, so when I saw Elmo Live was coming to town I knew I had to get us tickets.  Jordyn isn't particularly a Sesame Street fan {or any TV for that matter}, but she does like music and since it was a live show, I thought maybe this would hold her attention.  So I bought three tickets, got a sitter for Cullyn {Hi Mom & Dad!} and Adam, Jordyn, and I headed out to Wells Fargo Arena.  Jordyn was SO excited to go!  We found our seats and she went with Adam to grab popcorn {an absolute favorite of hers} She LOVED the first half of the show, she was singing, clapping, & dancing.  At intermission she lost interest, and when the show came back on {for the final 20 minutes} she was over it.  She requested we leave.  For some things {a graduation, church, etc.} we would have stayed but since this her afternoon, we left and grabbed some froyo before we went home.  I know we didn't make it through the entire show {she's just 2 1/2}, but she loved the beginning so much I would really like to take her back next year {when she's 3 1/2}.

This is my effort to post more about our local adventures {Des Moines, Iowa area} since I am always looking for fun, new places to take the kids or go out with my hubby.

I've posted in the past about iCubsShear MadnessB&B DeliTriad TumblingZoo TotsThe RitzBaconfestBackyard AdventuresSkyZoneSculpture ParkZoo TunesIowa State Fair 2012Iowa State Fair 2013,  Tubing at SevenOaks in BooneFree Little LibrariesJumpin Jacks, and tons of local Christmas Activities.  I've briefly mentioned the farmer's market {which is a pretty big deal here} few concert and shows, and tons of restaurants, but there are so many places we've been and things we've experienced around this city that I haven't even mentioned.  I'm assuming others would like local suggestions.

*None of these places have any clue who I am or what this little blog is.  I pay for our entrance/membership like any other customer and blog only my honest opinions.
