Another favorite activity of Jordyn's is tumbling! Not many places in Des Moines will take two year olds, but Triad does. We did a four week session last fall {I think Jordyn was 22 months} and loved it! We didn't continue because things were starting to get busy with the holidays. I'm so sad we didn't because I called in January to get her registered again and they were completely booked. We're still on the waiting list. :( Her group {Wigglebugs} was for kids under two and lasted just 30 minutes. Parents stayed with their child. You pay an annual fee and then a certain amount per month. I'm pretty sure Jordyn was the only student that would have preferred to have just a coach instead of her parents…haha! I guess that's a good thing {I'm trying to convince myself!} :) Either way she loved it and we loved seeing her so happy and burning all kinds of energy! :)
This is my effort to post more about our local adventures {Des Moines, Iowa area} since I am always looking for fun, new places to take the kids or go out with my hubby.
I've posted in the past about Zoo Tots, The Ritz, Baconfest, Backyard Adventures, SkyZone, Sculpture Park, Zoo Tunes, Iowa State Fair 2012, Iowa State Fair 2013, Tubing at SevenOaks in Boone, Free Little Libraries, Jumpin Jacks, and tons of local Christmas Activities. I've briefly mentioned the farmer's market {which is a pretty big deal here} few concert and shows, and tons of restaurants, but there are so many places we've been and things we've experienced around this city that I haven't even mentioned. I'm assuming others would like local suggestions.
