Pizza, Adult Beverages and Friends

Those three things pretty much sum up my weekend...with a few other things of course.  Starting with taking Miss J to the doctor first thing Friday morning.  She has had a cold for the last week or so and all signs pointed to 'just a cold' but I wanted to make sure before the weekend [and more specifically, before my sister watched her Friday night].  Especially since she woke up 'screaming' Thursday night/Friday morning [something she has never done before].  The pediatrician said it was most likely just because she was ticked of from not being able to breathe...poor baby!  :( 

After she checked out we met a friend for lunch.  So fun to catch up with her.  Unfortunately this was the worst Miss J has ever acted...I vow to not make my sick, miserable child attending lunch with me again.  I totally should have rescheduled...I was being selfish!  My baby, my friend and myself all left with puke and snot on our shirts! :(  So exhausting!  So I was totally headed home to put her to sleep [and then myself] but of course that would have been in an ideal world...

Instead...we took Murdock to the regular vet [Dr. D].  He got some routine [annual] testing and $200 later we were on our way!  Our special vet [Dr. F] still wants us to hold off on vaccinating him for now since we don't know what started his reaction.  She is still researching and will get back to us when she makes a decision because she would really like him on some sort of protection since he's already at risk with his auto-immune disease.  

Exhausted yet?  Stay with me...that was just Friday-day.  Friday night my sister [and her dog] came over to babysit J so Adam and I could go on a much needed date night!  We had a blast!  We met up with lots of friends for a 7 course meal and wine tasting at a fancy resturant and then went out for drinks.  So much fun...so exhausting for this girl!  I remembered why I don't do things like that anymore when...

My daughter got me up Saturday morning at 6:45am!  Brutal!  Luckily I entertained her from 6:45-8:30 and my husband came out and told me to take a nap, so I did from 8:30-10:30.  Then he made a yummy breakfast and we all got ready for a friend's sons 1st birthday party!  We had so much fun there...it started at 1pm and we didn't get home until after 10pm!  It ended up storming so we stayed and ordered pizza and had more adult beverages.  Jordyn was SUCH A GOOD GIRL...Proud Mama! :)  Plus we met a few more awesome couples [& there cute babies!].

We must have worn J out because she slept until 9:15 Sunday morning!  Adam worked from 8:30-4 and my [3!] photoshoots got rained out from the yucky storms night night before so J and I just hung out with Murdock all day.  Did laundry, downloaded new books on my Kindle and music to my computer, checked work emails, painted nails, etc.  We had lots of fun, but were so ready for daddy to get home.  As soon as he came home we ordered pizza [again!] and had [more!] adult beverages. 

A perfect weekend filled with friends and fun!  Now...prep for another busy week! :)
