So really quick I just had to share a funny story. Last Thursday it was beautiful! So beautiful in fact, that I had to take advantage of the 67* weather with an outdoor run [read: I do not run inside]. I'm all excited...It's 10am, on a weekday, sunny, and I'm able to sneak in a run...that's heaven right there! I lace up my shoes...put a collar on Murdock...crank the music...and we head out. About .5 seconds into our run I notice it's really windy. The first mile of my run is a slight uphill include, but I mentally reasoned with myself my saying it will push me that much harder on the last 2 miles of my run. Twenty minutes ten minutes later I turn and start my 2nd mile, that's when I realize the wind turned and was against me again, it wasn't right on this time, but still it was against me. The last 2/3 of my run winds around and I'm not making this up...over 3/4 the time the wind was pushing against me. It was like someone was playing a cruel joke on me! Looking back it's pretty funny...it wasn't so funny was I was charging against it! :)
Since it was so windy I ended up doing run/walk/jog intervals. I did 3 miles total [1/2 jogging, 1/4 running, 1/4 walking]. I can't wait until it warms up again so I can get another outdoor run in. I just refuse it go with snow on the ground! Wednesday is supposed to be good, so cross your fingers it's not windy! :)
