Last Thursday [yes this is late!] we were toddler free! So what did I do with a 5 & 8 year old and no little ones?
Go to Barns & Nobles to get a free book from their summer program
Go to Boarders to get another free book from their summer program [this program is the best! Each time the kids complete 10 books they can go to the store & grab a free book. Best part..they can do this over & over all summer..Boarders only though. B&N is a one time deal.] Mackenzie also purchases a book with my 40% off coupon.
Stop by a local Library book sale
Grab pizza for lunch
Go to 'our' local Library to switch out books
Grab Cold Stone Ice Cream for treats [with free coupon for reading 5 books]
Swim & Slip n Slide with the neighbor kids
Seriously the kids were in heaven & we got over 30 books, lunch, & ice cream for $30. I couldn't do this every day but it was not too bad!
