Food Trucks
One of the last Friday's before school started, we picked up Auntie Ashy and headed downtown to the food trucks for a late lunch followed by ice cream and a stroll around the Sculpture Park. Every time I go downtown I fall a little more in love with Des Monies!

Summer 2016 Bucket List-Progress
I'm in denial that August is less than a week away! I thought I would check on our summer bucket list progress thus far, just to see where we're at. Most of the activities still on the list involve being outside for a longer period of time {& it's been SO incredibly hot here this month!}, so hopefully August brings temps closer to 80 instead of 100! Some just can't happen yet {school supply shopping, Iowa State Fair, etc.} but I'm confident we're going to get 90% of this list accomplished!

Ice Cream | 2015
I knew as soon as we did this last year, we would have to make it a tradition. At least until the kids are old enough to eat ice cream without making a huge mess. ;)
Details ::
The heat index was well into the triple digits.
Both kids received a 'wipe bath' before getting in the van & a proper bath within 3 seconds of returning home.
Cullyn dropped his cone in the grass & refused to stop eating it. He also has crazy post-nap hair. And a personality to match!
It took my 5 times washing Jordyn's shirt to get all of the chocolate ice cream out of it. Also? She's opposite of her brother and was greatly bothered by the mess! {she's SO my girl!}
The adorable shirts are c/o TheBeesKneesLA {thank you!}
