Cullyn {12 Months}

How is it possible my baby is ONE?  I have to admit, we were so busy preparing for your party this weekend, and then Easter, that I didn't really have time to mourn the fact I no longer have a baby!  Don't get me wrong, I am so incredibly blessed you are one.  You're so happy and totally healthy, and for that alone I am so thankful!  However, as things slowed down and life returned to normal today, it hit me that I no longer have a baby and I'm reminded yet again just how fast these days go.

You are a crazy little boy now, everyone is starting to comment about it now.  You climb on anything and you're into everything, just like little boys should.  You love playing on the stairs {giving mama a heart attack!} You love music and start dancing anytime you hear it; your sister's guitar is your favorite toy.  You aren't walking on your own yet, but you practically run  behind little push toys.  You are strong.  And you hate diaper changes and getting dressed.  And you're still biting, mainly mama & sissy! :(

You're sleeping better than ever before!  You typically don't take a morning nap anymore, just one longer {2 hour} nap each day.  You go to bed around 8p and wake about 7a these days.  You started resisting going to bed at night now that we've weaned you off the bottle and onto the sippy cup. :(  We give you a sippy cup of whole milk {or water} throughout the day.  You love the sippy, except at bed time, when you miss your bottle.  You love table food so much and will pretty much eat anything!  We finely dice everything up and you feed yourself.  You’ve had avacados, puffs, peaches, pears, fruit bars, green beans, pees, lima beans cheerios, eggs, lasagna, chicken, pizza, yogurt, pancakes, apples, pasta, rice, sushi, tuna noodle casserole, whole chicken nuggets, apples, baked beans,cheese, etc.  Plus lots of dog food and paper!

You're still in size 3 diapers, size 6 - 12 month clothes, and 12 month jammies.  You weigh about 18.1 lbs {11%}, you're 29" tall {18%}, & your head is 17.7" {32%}.  You wear size 4 {Stride Rite & TOMS} shoes.  You still have 12 teeth {Yes, you got SIX teeth this month--perhaps that's why you have had a hard time falling asleep at night}

And it's crazy that you turned a year without celebrating your first Easter {you arrived just after Easter last year and your birthday was the day before Easter this year} but since it was just a day after you turned one, I'll mention you celebrated your 1st Easter at the Lakehouse in Montezuma.  We had your Birthday Party {Little Man themed} during brunch Saturday morning and Sunday morning we went to church, took Hubbard family photos, & then had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

  I cannot express how lucky we feel to have you in our lives.  You absolutely light up our life with your smile & personality and complete this family in a way I didn't think was possible.  This year has been the fastest one of my life, but I can't wait to celebrated everyone one with you!  We love you to the moon & back little man! -- Mama & Daddy

Cullyn {9 Months}

 Happy 9 Months Little Man!

I can't believe it took 3/4 of a year, but you're finally sleeping through the night!  We lay you down around 8p and you sleep until we wake you {usually 7} or 8a.  You also take a small morning nap {up to an hour}, an afternoon nap {about an hour}, and a little, early evening nap {up to 30 minutes}.

You eat about four, eight-ounce bottles throughout the day.  You still don’t eat the full bottle in one sitting, you kind of graze all day, but we try for 8a, noon, 4p, and 8p.  We tried baby food, but you just don’t seem very interested, so we are trying the Baby Led Weaning approach.  We dice things up real small, and you feed yourself.  You’ve had avacados, puffs, peaches, pears, fruit bars, green beans, pees, cheerios, eggs, lasagna, chicken, pizza {gram!}, and yogurt.  Green beans and yogurt are your favorite!

You're in size 3 diapers, size 6 month onesies, and 9 month clothes.  You wear 6-12 month jammies.  We had your 9 month well check and you weigh 17 lbs. 11oz. {16%}, you're 28" tall {32%}, and your head is 17.5" {32%}.  No shots this time, just a finger poke.  Since you aren't walking and you're always in your carseat if you aren't at home, you don't wear shoes yet.  You have 6 teeth {4 on top, 2 on bottom}

You’re pulling yourself up and crawling to everything now.  You refuse to sit in the bathtub, which as resulted in some pretty good bumps and bruises.  :(  You can no longer be trusted by stairs or the dog food bowls!  Anything you find on the floor goes directly into your mouth.  You love to eat paper, steal your sister's sippy cups, and play with your drum set! :)  You can giggle and say dada and mama, but you don't really 'talk' much.

You celebrated your first Christmas and New Year's, you learned to crawl up the stairs {but not down yet}, and you stayed in the church nursery for the first time.

We are so blessed to have you.  You light up the room with your huge smile.  We love you so much!  --Mama & Daddy

Cullyn {5 Months}

Happy 5 Months Little Man!
I can't believe you're FIVE months already.  It's been the quickest 5 months of my life!

Let's start by stating you have almost no schedule.  We totally go with the flow now.  You like to sleep in {just like your daddy} but you also like to wake us up 2-12 times a night--darn teeth!  We give you your binky and you go right back to sleep {thank God!}  It's a good thing you're the cutest baby ever {& I know that despite the nights being long the weeks really do go by too fast, so we're trying to treasure each moment we get with you--no matter the time of day/night!}  You tend to sleep better when you're swaddled {with your arms out}.  You take 2-3 naps a day {depending on our night} and eat four seven-ounce bottles throughout the day.

Although your legs are nothing compared to your sisters at this age, they are getting a little bigger. :)  You weigh almost 15lb. 2 oz.  You wear size 3 diapers {Luvs or Up & Up} and 0-3, 3 month, & 3-6 month clothes {depending on the brand}

You also moved to your crib {which was a huge deal for mama, but you didn't notice a difference at all!}  :)  When you wake for your binky around 5am we bring you to bed with us to snuggle until sissy gets up.  {You always fall back asleep during this time}.
You started rolling over!  Both front to back and back to front.  You are so strong.  You sit up well in your bouncer & bumbo seats.
You're getting so much better in the car now {it must have just been a phasethankfully!}  You are officially addicted to your binky.  We wouldn't even think of going anywhere without it {should be interesting in about 7 months!} :/  I assume it's because you've been 'teething' for soooo long!  So much drool, but still no teeth. :(
You also have been sick.  You have had a cold & your second double ear infection all month.  boo.  :(  We have seen your pediatrician lots this month! :/  I can't believe we will be celebrating your 1/2 birthday when I update next…where has the time gone?!
Love you to the moon & back!
