Lola @ 1.5

I cannot believe we've had this girl a year and a half!  Most days it seems like she's been with us forever!  I must admit, the last few months have been glorious!  Lola has settled into the new house well and is loving that Adam works from home now.  She has space to roam and it's finally able to say out of her kennel when we leave the house for a few hours.  Parts of her are still puppyish, but she doesn't have accidents anymore and lays around more frequently.

Cullyn {12 Months}

How is it possible my baby is ONE?  I have to admit, we were so busy preparing for your party this weekend, and then Easter, that I didn't really have time to mourn the fact I no longer have a baby!  Don't get me wrong, I am so incredibly blessed you are one.  You're so happy and totally healthy, and for that alone I am so thankful!  However, as things slowed down and life returned to normal today, it hit me that I no longer have a baby and I'm reminded yet again just how fast these days go.

You are a crazy little boy now, everyone is starting to comment about it now.  You climb on anything and you're into everything, just like little boys should.  You love playing on the stairs {giving mama a heart attack!} You love music and start dancing anytime you hear it; your sister's guitar is your favorite toy.  You aren't walking on your own yet, but you practically run  behind little push toys.  You are strong.  And you hate diaper changes and getting dressed.  And you're still biting, mainly mama & sissy! :(

You're sleeping better than ever before!  You typically don't take a morning nap anymore, just one longer {2 hour} nap each day.  You go to bed around 8p and wake about 7a these days.  You started resisting going to bed at night now that we've weaned you off the bottle and onto the sippy cup. :(  We give you a sippy cup of whole milk {or water} throughout the day.  You love the sippy, except at bed time, when you miss your bottle.  You love table food so much and will pretty much eat anything!  We finely dice everything up and you feed yourself.  You’ve had avacados, puffs, peaches, pears, fruit bars, green beans, pees, lima beans cheerios, eggs, lasagna, chicken, pizza, yogurt, pancakes, apples, pasta, rice, sushi, tuna noodle casserole, whole chicken nuggets, apples, baked beans,cheese, etc.  Plus lots of dog food and paper!

You're still in size 3 diapers, size 6 - 12 month clothes, and 12 month jammies.  You weigh about 18.1 lbs {11%}, you're 29" tall {18%}, & your head is 17.7" {32%}.  You wear size 4 {Stride Rite & TOMS} shoes.  You still have 12 teeth {Yes, you got SIX teeth this month--perhaps that's why you have had a hard time falling asleep at night}

And it's crazy that you turned a year without celebrating your first Easter {you arrived just after Easter last year and your birthday was the day before Easter this year} but since it was just a day after you turned one, I'll mention you celebrated your 1st Easter at the Lakehouse in Montezuma.  We had your Birthday Party {Little Man themed} during brunch Saturday morning and Sunday morning we went to church, took Hubbard family photos, & then had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

  I cannot express how lucky we feel to have you in our lives.  You absolutely light up our life with your smile & personality and complete this family in a way I didn't think was possible.  This year has been the fastest one of my life, but I can't wait to celebrated everyone one with you!  We love you to the moon & back little man! -- Mama & Daddy

J's Eats [12-16 months]

This is a few months ago, but many of you asked what things we fed Jordyn during the transition to table food.  Obviously this is just a small sample, but here are a few things I picked up during a Target run.  Most of these are snacks.  Since she doesn't eat any meat yet {not by our choice!} so we typically give her a fruit, a vegetable, and snack{s}.  We don't have Jordyn on a specific diet, but we do try to watch her sugar and carb intake.  For somethings it happens to be organic or all natural, for other things the off brand is our preference.

A. Mini sandwiches
B.  Fruit cups
C.  Craisins {all flavors} and Blueberries
D.  Fruit strips
E.  Fruit Bars {these are Granola bars -- we just started them at 16 months}
F.  Raisins & Yogurt covered raisins
G. Goldfish crackers
H. Greek yogurt
I. No sugar added applesauce, Mandarin oranges, & Peaches {she never cared much for pears}.  No salt added Peas, Green beans, Corn, & Lima beans.

Weekend with Great Grandparents

We had a 'great' weekend!  For the first time all year [yes, 11 months] we had an open weekend.  So what did we decide to do?  Drive to my hometown to spend the weekend with my family.  We arrived 7ish Friday night.  After we settled in we played games.

Saturday morning we got up and went to my Grandma Laura's house.  This was the 1st time Jordyn was at her Great Greandma's house [and only her 3rd time seeing her].  We chatted there all morning and had pizza.

That afternoon we went to my other grandparent's house.  This was Adam's first time seeing their home [we always meet at a resturant or my aunt's house].  We spent the afternoon there.  Thankfully my aunt brought a pack-n-play for us because we forgot one...FAIL!

Sunday was spent playing games and hanging out at my parents house.  It worked out perfect to spend some time with my grandparents.  It's so easy to get busy with your own lives and forget to make time for your distand loved ones.  Since they're all 70+ this meant a lot to me.  Plus it was nice to see my Grandma Jordan now that she's home and recovering from her knee replacement surgery.

*Jordyn also got her first molar's this weekend [teeth #9 & 10]
**I fully regret my lazy decision to pull my hair back into a pony tail on this morning.  Since we probably won't get retakes of these photos for another year, I really, really regret that decision!  :(
