When we bought this house I pictured us hosting people and to be honest, we don't do a ton of it. So, one of my 'goals' for 2022 is to host a monthly dinner. Not necessarily a 'supper club' since we will be inviting different people each month, but you could easily make this into a dinner club or monthly family dinner.
12 Fun Supper Club Dinner Themes
1. Fondue Night
We only do this once a year, but it's always delicious and fun! We have one fondue pot of hot oil for meats and veggies {chicken, steak, sausage links, mushrooms, onions, etc.} and another of cheese {for meats, veggies, bread, etc} and a third one with chocolate for dessert {fruit, marshmallows, Rice Krispy bars, cookies, pretzels, etc.} I promise, you cannot go wrong with this meal!
2. Sushi Night
Again, always a HUGE hit at our house! You can make this super easy by ordering delivery, or if you live in the middle of nowhere {or just want to make a night of it} you can make your own like we do! We use this mat {just put in in a large ziplock and spray with cooking oil. Pair with grape Sake Bombs.
3. Build-Your-Own Baked Potato Bar
A baked potato bar is awesome for picky eaters! Everyone gets to top it with their own favorites -- chili, hamburger, crab meat, salsa, beans, tomatoes, guacamole, pesto, bacon, green inion, broccoli, sour cream, cheeses, and of course butter! Plus, assembly lines are always super easy!
4. Pasta Bar
Pasta Bars -- another super easy meal. Just make some pasta, have a few sauce options {marinara, alfredo, pesto} and meats {chicken, hamburger, etc.} and you're set. Of course, it would be naked noodles with butter and parmesan for one of my kids. Add a salad and some garlic bread and you're set!
5. Fiesta Dinner
Fiestas are so easy and the most fun! You could make enchiladas ahead of time, walking tacos {so easy!} or make a taco table {my personal fav!} Start the night with chips, queso, & guac and end with margaritas, Coronas, or a Coke!
6. Charcuterie Night
Starting with one of my all time favorite things to make when hosting -- a huge charcuterie board filled with meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, & chocolates!
7. Burger Bar
Perfect for the summer! Grill up a bunch of burgers, buy buns, and set out all the toppings -- bacon, onions, lettuce, tomato, fried onions, eggs, cheeses, sauces, etc. Add hot dogs for the littles.
8. Fancy Pizza Night
Pizza night is always a favorite! We just got an Ooni, so build your own pizza will definitely be happening at our house! A few recommendations – cheese, caramelized onion & prosciutto for the adults and hamburger, pickles, and onions with a ketchup/mustard sauce for the kids! Everyone loves a good marinara, mozzarella, and fresh basil pizza! Pair it with a salad and you have a meal!
9. Fish Fry
A lake favorite over here! Fry up a bunch of fresh fish and fries and call it a night. We made a fry board and it was devoured in no time! Add all the sauces for some extra fun -- tartar sauce, fry sauce, ketchup, BBQ, mustards, ranch, etc.
10. Low Country Boil
We do this every fall and it is always the best time! It's a super fun meal that is honestly pretty easy to execute if you have a turkey fryer. I'll do a full post on this sometime, but it's basically crab, potatoes, corn, onions, shrimp, and crawdads boiled in Zatarains seasoning.
11. Friendsgiving
A cozy thanksgiving meal with a pretty fall tablescape and some wine would be fun. You could fry a turkey or smoke a tenderloin and pair it with all the hearty sides.
12. Steak + Lobster
This doesn't really need any explanation. We make this every Christmas and it's a favorite! Steak, lobster, twice baked potatoes, and dinner rolls. YUM!
