Friday Favorites!

A few random FriYAY favorites for you this week...

1. Our girls basketball team made it to the state quarterfinals last week and our boys high school basketball team plays in the state championship game TODAY!  It's exceptionally fun to live in a small town for events like this -- it's just electric.  Go Braves!!
{
photos from State 2019 -- we've been live streaming them this year}

2. The weather has been amazing {for Iowa} the past week, so I've been enjoying daily walks with Lola and the kids.  We're excited for a long bike rides soon!

3.  Jordyn is excited to be moving forward with her ortho work.

4. The power went out for hours one night this week.  We were with friends and it ended up being a pretty fun night.  The kids ended up having sleepovers since school had a late start the next morning {not due to the power outage}

5. I had to have a presentation in a neighboring town this week, so I took advantage of the opportunity to try a new to me restaurant.  I will not be forgetting this amazing, hand-breaded tenderloin anytime soon!

6. No photos, but we got chairs for our new kitchen island and we've used the space every single day.  It's been fun to nail down how we can make certain areas of our house more functional now that we've been here for a couple years.  I also ordered a new light for the stairwell so we can get rid of the can light -- I just need to put it together and make sure it's big enough for the space.

7. We've spent a significant amount of time researching places to take the kids for Christmas next year in lieu of gifts.  If you have a great vacation destination that fits the following criteria, please message me!!

  1. Kid friendly {not just kids allowed, but somewhere that has fun amenities for kids!}
  2. All inclusive
  3. Preferably not Mexico, Cabo, Jamaica, or Turks & Caicos as we've already been there and like to try to places.
