Walt Disney World | Magic Kingdom

A couple of weeks before we left for the wedding in Florida, we threw around the idea of taking the kids to Walt Disney World.  The island we stayed on was only two hours from Orlando and since we decided to drive to Florida instead of fly, it made sense to stop by on our way home, after we checked out of our house.  We have dreams of taking them to Disney World again when they're a little older, but we couldn't pass it up since we were so close.

Gram & Papa came too!! :)
Walt Disney World | Magic Kingdom | 2014
So we left our house on Anna Maria Island at 8a on Thursday, July 10th and headed to Disney World.  On the way there, I read a few blogs recommending rides for children 2 and under {Cully was 14 months and Jordyn 33}.  I also downloaded the 'WDW Waits' {free} App so we could map out our day.

For those interested, we watched the Mickey Parade and took photos by the castle first, then we rode the Flying Dumbos and the Prince Charming Regal Carousel, after that we played at the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station and went inside the air conditioned theatre {although it was a GORGEOUS--89* & Sunshine--day!} to watch the 3D Mickey show.  After that we went on It's a Small World and the Jungle Cruise before getting on the Walt Disney World Railroad to ride around the park.  We ended the day at the gift shop before heading back to our parking spot {Simba 24} around 3:30p.

A few tips for next time…
You can bring food and drinks in.  We packed a large cooler and ended up not buy any food or drinks which was nice!
Take a photo of your parking spot on your way into the park so you remember 10 hours later! :)
Setup your Fast Passes as soon as you get there since you can reserve 3 rides.

The Mickey Parade

Cullyn was absolutely OBSESSED with the characters! :)

We ended up spending about 5 hours at Magic Kingdom.  I'll be honest, I could have been there for another 5 or 10, but the kids were getting sleepy {both fell asleep at different times for about 5-10 minutes} and we had a big {1000+ mile!} drive ahead of us, so we left.

Gram took Jordyn on her first ride at Disney World & she LOVED it! :)
Cullyn LOVED his first ride too.   I got a cute little video of him while we were riding it! :)
Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station
Prince Charming Regal Carousel -- Both kids LOVED this {Cullyn actually threw a fit about getting off of it!} :)
She was so proud to ride 'all by myself' :)

Mickey 3D Show {the kids say on Gram & Papas laps most of the time}

It's a Small World
the Jungle Cruise

After the Jungle Cruise, Cullyn started to get antsy and Jordyn fell asleep, so we took a few more photos and called it a day.  When we go back I would like to hit a few more rides…
Peter Pan's Flight
Under The Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The kids did so awesome…they loved all of the rides.  The weather was perfect and it wasn't too crowded.  I can't wait to take the kids back in a few years! :)
