Baby H Questions Answered..

Holy buckets...thank you all for your kind thoughts!  I heard from people I didn't even know read this blog.  But thank you!  If you missed the original post, you can find it here.  Below are some of the common questions we're asked.  I'm sure I'll be answer more at some point, so if I miss anything you're still curious about just ask.  Here goes...

Where you planning Baby H?
How about this...we weren't preventing Baby H.  Whenever we were blessed, we were ready! :)  We couldn't be more excited!

When is Baby H expected to arrive?
Originally we were told [by my family practitioner] November 10th, but after our first OB/GYN appointment it has been adjusted to October 27th.  We're 11w4d today.

How did you find out you were pregnant?
I tested with an at home pregnancy test on February 14th [as I had been doing every month for the last 6] and thought [but misread!] that it was negative.  Who new that even a very, very faint line counts?! :)  Can we say hellllo new mom!  I retested the following Tuesday it is was much more clear! :)

How did you tell your hubby?
I tested after work [before Adam was off work] and surprised him.  I had the test sitting on the table and Murdock in a shirt that read 'Big Brother To Be'  He was ECSTATIC!  Definitely the reaction every pregnant wife wants :)

What did your family say?
They were all thrilled!  They had been hoping for this news for over a year! :)

Have you been sick at all?
I'm going to write a funny post about all that things that happen to your body when you're pregnant that nobody talks about...because quite frankly...your body shuts down! :)  So yes, I have been sick.  Thankfully it didn't last long, but it was 24 hour nausea for about a month.  Followed by some other fun stuff!  I am feeling better now, and I know many others have it worse that me so I try not to whine much! :)

How much weight have you gained so far?
Harsh question...last I looked 5lbs.  Although, I'm not trying to.  I already feel like nothing fits the same!

Will you stay home with Baby H?
As much as we would both like to stay home, we're both planning to go back to work right now.

I know your mom has a daycare, will she be watching Baby H?
Haha...I wish!  Unfortunately we live two hours from my mom, so no.  We would like to bring someone into our home, but haven't looked into our options at this point.

Do you want a boy or a girl?  What about your hubby?
We are both open to either.  We're just praying for healthy.  I was really, really hoping for twins, but our appointment Friday confirmed otherwise.  I always saw myself with boys, but everyone is guessing girl...so we shall see! :)

Will you find out the sex?  If so, are you telling people?
We have decided not to find out the sex of Baby H.  Much to others dismay, we're loving the anticipation!

Have you decided on a name for Baby H?
Haha!  NO!  We will [hopefully!] have a boy and a girl name picked out before we deliver, but we're unable to decide at this time.  Adam is scratching all of my good name ideas off the list...how dare he!  Maybe I'll do a post about all the awesome names I'm coming up with that he is denying! :)

What are you missing most during this pregnancy?
Surprisingly...tanning!  Sad, I know!  Sushi and wine are a close second! :)

What did your work say?
I'll tell you after I tell them!  I know..I need to. I plan to do that this week.

Okay, that's a wrap for now!  Thanks again for your support and I'll get some photos posted soon! :)

  4. I can't believe you've been having all the "morning sickness" (all day haha) without ever expressing it on your blog! I'd be dying to say something haha

I've also always envisioned myself with boys for some reason, although I think a girl would be much more fun to dress up.

Good luck with the names! Jorge and I took 2 months just to name our dog haha

  13. How exciting for you! My stepdaughter and her husband elected not to find out the sex of our granddaughter beforehand. She said that there are few surprises in this world and that was a true one. It was hard for the grandmothers because we all wanted to shop; but we were all thrilled to meet Acadia when she arrived. Blessings to you and Adam and your family! I'm just thrilled for you!
