Not Me! Monday...

It was Not Me that 'freaked out' [insert huffing..puffing..teeth gritting..and stomping here] this weekend because I can't get my new Nike+ to read the frickin' sensor..I'm always calm, cool, & collected!!

i did it..now catch up! i did it!

..I successfully lasted 5 days without blogging! :)  Cross that off the list! Friday was busy so I didn't get around to it and like most other weekends I wasn't able to blog Saturday or Sunday.  I figured I was 3/5ths of the way there so I might as well go 2 more!  I'll admit Monday & Tuesday were rough.  There were so many times I wanted to blog about something.  I think [and my hubby knows!] that I'm slightly addicted to this blogging stuff!  

..Since I mentioned hubby...he finally read my blog yesterday! :):):)  Although he didn't say much...I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad.  Nevertheless..I'm happy about it.  His only comment was...I read it-the video of you walking around in the background in your leopard undies was pretty weird..nice hun...I know what's on my blog & that isn't it! :)

.Friday we kept it low key.  Adam grilled for me and a few of our friends.  Saturday we went to the wedding which was a great time..I'm so excited for them! :)  Sunday we slept in and then went to Jen's graduation party [she was the one & only roommate I ever had...she lived with me shortly after I moved to Des Moines].  That night my sister and 3 of her friends came over for dinner [a FEAST!] Adam made Shrimp for an appetizer.  Pork chops & Italian Chicken Breasts along with Potato Packets & Veggie skewers YUM!!!.  I made Better Than S3x Cake...MMM!

..I missed Not Me! Monday so here it is...It was not me who had 2 pieces of Better Than S3x cake & a bottle glass of wine..while reading my book in the bathtub Monday night because I was feeling sorry for myself after the tiff Adam & I got into...nope!...not me!...I'm much more mature than that!

..We had Alphabet night last week...letter D.  Check it out here!  *Also...I think I'm going to start adding the recipes to these posts so I can go back to them if we want to make them again.  I'll end up with an alphabet recipe box on here! :)

..Last night Adam surprised me with King Crab Legs & Steak with potatoes for dinner...MMM!  [I think he was secretly trying to make me feel bad for being mad at him the night before...it worked!  What can I say...he knows me!]

..If you're still reading all of this I'm amazed...thanks for being such a dedicated reader! :)

..I got a  new sunhat to wear when I read outside..great purchase...I LOVE it! :)

..Oh..the hammock..Mackenzie & I put that bad boy up ourselves Thursday after school!

..I think we're going to have our E supper tonight!

..Friday Carter & I made a Vanilla Cake & topped it with whip cream & strawberries!  It was a hit at the B house! :)

..You'll never believe what Benny did in the bathtub this morning...guesses anyone?  Maybe a little gift to the first person to email me with the right answer!  

..Friday night I'm going on a little girls night...should be fun...it's been a while! 

..In my 5 day blogging break I did manage to finish True Colors by Kristin Hannah and almost finish Shopaholic Takes Manhattan by Sophie Kinsella.  A couple more books to add to my list! :)

..I'll call it a day...thanks for hanging with me...I'll post something more fun next! :)

..My mom & Sister[s] might come see me this weekend! :)

Not Me! Monday...

It was Not Me who lost her iTouch over the weekend!

I know I had it with me Friday at my doctor's appointment [in the girls bag].  I left work and went straight to the car dealership to have them put new windshield wiper blades on my car.  I'm pretty sure it was in the cup holder when I went.  Then ran a few errands and went home..I don't remember having it any of those places.  Over the weekend I was looking for it [because that is the only calendar I use..I know...stupid me!] and couldn't find it.  Saturday I go back to the car dealership to tell them I lost my iPod and if they see it to please call me.  [Like anyone would admit to taking it, right?!]  So all weekend I was a little bummed.  I came to work this morning and the first thing Bennett says is, "Your phone was talking this morning."  Yep...sure enough..I left my iTouch in the girls bag and the alarm was going off.  Woo Hoo...it is located and all is well! :)

Not Me! Monday... [Eww!]

I've only got one this week but it's a deep..dirty one!   [Don't say I didn't warn ya! :]

...I did not let my sweet little innocent..now 3 year old..POOP outside at the park last week!  That is soo wrong & nasty & even grosses me out! 

*We were at the park [1/2 mile from home] for a picnic & she said she had to go.  Ok..So I grab her and make a mad dash to the porta potty area..only to find out..HOLY CRAP! The porta potties are GONE!  See it's still pretty early & they have not been put back up for the summer so..I calmly think of option 2 panic..I know there is no way I could hup all 3 of the kids back home before she would poo her pants so..thinking quick on my feet still panicing..I rip her pants off [after the man walks by with his dog, before the girl flying a kite stares] and hold her so she is able to 'do the deed' in the muddy/tree covered area at the park.  YIKES!  By the way...she still is not telling everyone how she 'pooped in the mud!'

...I did not take both sets of car keys to work with me this morning and have to drive back home with the girls because we only have one set each!  

...I definitely did not eat this for my lunch today..

...Lastly,I did not give in and let the girls eat here for lunch today..

...I did not go out of town with only ballet slippers & heels when the forecast said 'SNOW' & then actually want my husband to give me a piggy-back around The Plaza because my feet were FREEZING cold & SOAKING wet!  I'm much more responsible & mature than that!

...And I definitely did not let Mackenzie miss the bus this morning!  I'm a much better nanny than that!  [P.S.-Monday after Spring Break & weekend out of town..You Suck!]

...I would not have been running around to so many different places & appointments on Friday that I would actually forget the poop sample that I collected [yep...scooped it and stored it in Gladware!] earlier in the morning for Murdock's yearly vet appointment...I would never have went to all that work to be prepared ahead of time to throw it away and take a new one in next month...nope...not me!

...I would not let C play with his baseball & football cards for 2 hours today while little M & B were taking a nap so that I could read the first 200 pages in my new book.  Nope...I'm a perfect nanny and I always engage C in educational activities while the girls are napping each afternoon.

...I would not eat the entire loaf of Asiago bread from Panera that my mom brought me Saturday.  I am a mature adult and know that no person needs that much bread in 48 hours...duh!


...It would not take my husband 13 times of begging before I finally gave in and cut his hair tonight.  Afterall, I am the perfect wife and jump at his every request! 

...And lastly I am most certainly not sitting in the office with my feet up [planning not to move from my computer...or book all night] while my husband sits in the living room playing the new xBox game that my mom got him.  Nope...we've only been married 100 days and still act like newlyweds!

Not Me! Monday...

Well...better late than never I suppose...

...I would NOT be the nanny that hussles the twins [2 1/2] through breakfast... bundles them up...loads them into the vehicle in COLD [like zero degree!] weather...runs errands [Target, Bank, Gas, Salon]...at last THE LIBRARY [which they begged to go all morning!]...and after all the hussling around....
WE'RE 30 MINUTES EARLY TO THE LIBRARY...IT ISN'T EVEN OPEN YET! Ah...yet another reminder why I need to breathe!

...I would not drop food on the floor today, pick it up, and actually feed it to the girls! That would be gross and unsanitary and no nanny should do this!

...And lastly I would most certainly not have checked the mail twice today thinking it was strange we wouldn't get anything, before I realized that it was MLK day. As if the FOUR children home from school... running around the house all day wouldn't be a reminder of the holiday!

Not Me Monday...

Here is my first attempt at a not-me-monday! Now...lets see if i can figure out how to 'link' it!

...I did not decide to try a not me monday as a desperate attempt to get people to see my new blog site!

...I did not read the book 'the rough guide to blogging' before i decided to start a blog of my own...nope, not me...that would be something only a control freak would think of doing!

...I did not workout 2 times today just to come home and eat a GIANT piece of 'better than sex cake' before dinner... especially when i just set my new years resolutions this week!

and drumroll please...

...I did not get drunk in front of my mother-in-law while my husbands band played on new years eve...and it most certainly did
NOT take me 3 days to recover from my lack of sleep...heck no...not this 23 year old!
