Cullyn took his first field trip this fall. They went to Center Grove pumpkin patch to see the animals and chose a pumpkin. I was lucky enough to go with them! :)

Fall Party | Pre-K
Last Friday, Jordyn had her first Fall Party and school. They read fall books, painted a pumpkin, had a snack, and played BINGO. We were going to play musical pumpkins {chairs} but ran out of time. The kids all seemed to have good time and I was so happy I was able to help coordinate it. Tip to moms going through this for the first time, if you plan the party {activities, games, snacks, prizes, etc.} you get to assign the other moms to take a station which allows you to watch your kid participate. :)

Jordyn | Back to School | 2016 {Pre-K}
Jordyn started Pre-Kindergarden at Ankeny Public Schools this year. She goes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for 2 1/2 hours each day. I was incredible nervous for this transition, since she's so shy. In fact, Adam and I discussed the transition from private preschool to public school for months before making our decision. And then she went to school on the first day like she'd been there for years. #LikeAChamp I'm sure the meet the teacher night and home visit from Miss Gina helped, but to say we were impressed would be a huge understatement!
She loves everything about school {especially centers!}, while I'm over here still getting trying to get used to homework, only district provided snacks {even for birthdays & holiday parties!!!}, and not being able to sneak into her classroom every day! But we hit the jackpot with teachers and Jordyn is thriving, so that's all I can ask for! PS...poor Jordyn was so tired in these photos! I took them right after her first day of school and she was beat! :(

Cullyn | Back to {Pre} School | 2016
Cullyn started 3 year preschool on Tuesday and Thursdays mornings at Triad this year, where he did 2 year preschool last year. He's absolutely loving everything about it! He's super comfortable with his teachers Miss Tracy & Miss Ally {Jordyn's teachers from last year, so he knows them well!} The thing is was most excited for was bringing treats to school {last year was just 1 1/2 hours, so they didn't do treat time} Every time I talk to his teachers, they're always telling me how sweet he is which obviously melts my heart, but I sure wish we saw more the the rule following, helpful Cullyn at home! :) However, based on our 'meet the teacher' night, I'm not surprised at all! He totally stole the show!
