Auntie Eshia had meetings in Des Moines on Friday and would be here all weekend, so we invited Gram and Papa to come too and make a full weekend of all things Christmas...Santa, Shopping, & even Snow!
[Friday]
After everyone arrived we went to Jolly Holiday Lights. For those of you not familiar with it, you drive your car through a park and look at all kids of lighted Christmas displays for a good stretch. The proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
[Saturday]
We got up and out of the house bright and early to make our 8am reservation at Bravo for Breakfast with Santa. Proceeds from this day went to Mercy Children's Center.
After breakfast we got to go sit with Santa.
Someone was less than excited for that! :(
Next up, the girls went shopping at Jordan Creek Town Center for a while before heading over to the Blank Park Zoo.
At the zoo, Gram took Jordyn to see a few animals like Snow Monkeys [the reindeer didn't make it this year] :( Jordyn was okay with looking, but not with touching!!
After the animals we went to see Santa & have cookies and cocoa.
We had the same results, so we opted not to make her sit on his lap this time.
I promise, the day wasn't all crying!
That evening Jordyn had a sleepover with Auntie Esha, Gram, & Papa while we went to Adam's work Christmas Party at Splash.
[Sunday]
We woke up to our first snowfall of the year! We quickly [hence the reason for jammies] ran outside to check it out. Some were more excited than others...
The rest of the weekend was filled with staying in and staying warm! and preparing for our crazy week ahead...
