A post about organization and a New Year? Yes please!
I usually spend some time between Christmas and New Year's trying to organize -- my physical spaces, my habits, my phone, my schedules, you name it!
DIGITAL LIFE -- I finally switched all.the.paper.lists over to Todoist and I couldn't be more excited! I'm not sure why I waited so long! I have ALL KINDS of lists going 15 to be exact. From restaurants I want to try to places I want to vacation to my kids' wish lists, to home improvement projects, I have a list for it! I also use this time to unsubscribe from as much as possible -- emails, apps, even streaming channels. It's a great time to reassess what you really want filling your space/time.
HABITS -- I decide habits I want to focus on for the year -- this year's it's water intake, food tracking food in My Fitness Pal, reading the bible, and a consistent bedtime routine.
PHYSICAL SPACES -- Closets, car, home, winter gear -- I like to do a full purge this time of year. After I purge, I organize. Then I decide what home projects I want to tackle for the year. This year, I want to redo the pantry, paint two different walls, and possibly our 3 season porch.
SCHEDULES -- Each January I go through and schedule all the appointments for the kids and I {physicals, eye exams, dental appointments, specialist appointments, etc.} so I can try to stack them on the same days as much as possible. I also schedule all vacations/long weekends and add all the sports schedules and school events {that I know about}.
