30A

When our Gulf Shores vacation came to an end, our family of four headed East to check out 30A. On the way, we stopped at the famous Flora-Bama for lunch.

We made it to our rental and headed straight to the pool.  It was overcast, and sprinkled a few times, but ended up being amazing because the pool cleared right out!

{Side Note::We almost cancelled this portion of our trip because a tropical storm was set to hit, but we powered through out of excitement to finally see this highly talked about vacation destination and I'm so glad we did!  We had pockets of rain and wind, but nothing terrible.  The beaches were red flag, but we just came from a week on the beach at Gulf Shores, so it didn't dampen our mood!}

After getting settled and swimming, we cleaned up and headed for dinner, drinks, shopping, and ice cream at the Hub {on property, but across the street}

Saturday morning we slept in, got donuts from George's Donut Truck in the gorgeous Ally's Beach, and played Skip-Bo while waiting for our golf cart to arrive.  I took the kids over to rent bikes from Frankie's at The Hub {the highlight for the kids!}

Once it arrived, we loaded up and cruised around Santa Rose Beach and Seaside for the day.  The tide was super high, but we walked around the beach for a while before getting lunch at Bud & Alley's and exploring the shops around Seaside {Duckies, Mercantile, the Seaside Store, etc.}

That night we took the golf cart over to Fish Out Of Water in Seaside

Sunday morning we slept in, the kids and I rode bikes, and then we took the golf cart to Airstream Row in Seaside to eat and shop.  That day we switched rentals {we wanted to check out multiple spots to get a feel for the different areas}.  We left Prominence at Santa Rosa Beach and headed to the Villages of South Walton at Seacrest Beach.  The kids and I biked all over from Watersound, through Alys Beach, and Seacrest Beach, to Rosemary Beach.  We grabbed ice cream at Sugar Shak and caught live music at Peddler's Pavilion before dinner at Old Florida Fish House {so stunning at night!!!}

The next morning we hit the road early, stopping at The Donut Hole on the way out.  After our relaxing 10 days, we made the drive 16.5 hour drive home with minimal stops.
