Let's Look | Outdoor Organization

If you're tuning in today for actual storage solutions, this might not be the post for you.  If you want to look at all of our junk and feel better about your situation, keep scrolling! :)  Are we the only ones that fill the amount of space we have?!  I swear, the more space...the more junk! Sigh.

All garage {tools, bikes, winter gear, etc.} is stored in the garage.  Which means, even though it's decent sized, it's filled!  No judging, but here goes...

First, because our setup is unique, here's a picture.  In 'front' {right side} we have a double garage. You can't really see it, but to the left of the drive through area is a single garage that I use.  Essentially the entire brick footprint is garage space.

Welcome!
Yes, you have to go through the garage to get into the house {I hate that!} :(

I tried to do a pano picture to show the layout, but I'm not sure it's super helpful.

Basically if you drive into my spot this is what you see.  The door on the far left is shoe/coat storage, the second is a restroom, and the corner space is a bar.

family coat closet

garage restroom

Bar space with some seating, an icemaker, the Blackstone when not in use, usually a fridge {it died!}, and all of random grill lighters/bug candles/trash bags/plastic silverware, etc. in the cabinets.

Oh, and the kids electric scooters, hoverboards, and hoverboard carts in frequently charging around this space -- ugh!

Now the 'cutouts' at the top {hard to see with the garage door open!}.  The one that's hard to see holds WINTER stuff -- skiis, sleds, a fake Christmas tree, etc.  {the garage heater is also up there}

The one to the right {in the corner} holds SUMMER stuff -- picnic table, boating stuff, Adam's bike that never gets used, camping gear, etc.

Turning to the South wall {so the bar space is to the left of this photo} are three more doors with storage up top, and two more doors and two more cutouts on the bottom.

This is the top left storage space and it houses all of our 'garage sale/give away' stuff.  Last week I had 30 totes up there, but we had a garage sale last weekend so I'm down to 5 right now {& it feels SOO good!}

The middle door houses the brains of the house -- furnace, water heater, etc.

The next one is full of childhood stuff {in the back} and holiday decor in the front

The bottom left door houses the brains to the elevator, Adam's band equipment, and alllll the coolers.  Are we the only ones with 305487340567 coolers?!

The door to the right of that is the door to get into the house!  Kind of confusing for people that haven't been here before, so I added the 'home' sign.

The next two spaces are where it really turns into 'garage' space.  I TRY to organize this space but it gets out of hand VERY quickly!

This is were we put all sports gear for the kids, lawn chairs, fishing stuff, the fryer, life jackets, water toys, helmets, etc.

The final 'cutout' has all the tools, yard stuff, mower, snow blower, etc.

Turning to the North wall now, the left corner has our kayaks, a pop machine, and our trash cans.  And the kid's bikes now since they ride them about every day.

To the right of that is a basketball game, the 'main' door to walk in, and Adam's shoe storage.

Plus a drop zone for randomness {like shuffleboard sticks}.  Sigh.

If you've made it this far -- kuddos!

And please don't think we're hoarders -- haha!

Bye!
