Nashville -- Dining, Doing, & Drinking

We made it home about 3pm on Tuesday and have been getting our bearings ever since. Our time in Nashville seems like a whirlwind, we did NOT sit around! :)

After an eventful drive {the side window of my sister's 2021 Pacifica blew out on the interstate in East St. Louis}, we arrived in Nashville about 3p Friday afternoon.  We checked directly into our adorable townhouse and changed clothes to head down to the Opry.  We walked around the Gaylord and then into the Opry just before a huge rain shower!  Nobody in our group {my parents, both sisters and their families, and us} had been to the Opry before, but we all left in tears after Craig Morgan's performance.  SO GOOD!  Let's just say, I'm his newest fan!  Afterwards we headed home and called it a night.

Saturday morning started at Five Daughters Bakery for some delicious donuts, before heading to the Gulch for some shopping and an obligatory photo of 'the Wings' and adorable flower truck.  The pop-up park was an unexpected bonus.  For lunch we headed to the Pharmacy for some yummy burgers and fries, followed by some down time.  Gram and Papa kept the four kids that evening so the six 'big kids' could celebrate my youngest sister's 30th Birthday.  We headed to Broadway Street for some live music at Loser's before getting on the Nashville Pedal Tavern to bike around midtown.  Despite the COLD {53*} evening, we had a BLAST!  Our driver & the other people in our group were so fun!  I hadn't laughed that much in a long time!

The next morning we slept in a bit and then hit Biscuit Love {the B-Roll!} for a late breakfast before heading to the trendy Pinewood Social for some intense Bocce Ball & cocktails from the airstream {they also have a bowling alley and dipping pools}.  The weather had straightened out by this point and we soaked up the sunshine!  When the kids made it clear they were ready to keep moving, we headed down to Broadway Street for the afternoon.  ACME Feed & Seed was exactly the spot we needed!  The second floor was a hit -- we took over the retro arcade games and shuffleboard table until the Wildhorse Salon opened.  This family friendly bar was perfect for our group -- the boys went upstairs for pool and foosball while the girls headed down to the dance floor to learn some line-dancing in between live music.  We spent that night playing cards at the house.

Monday morning started with a delicious breakfast at Milk & Honey before we headed home to pack up and check out.  We headed to the Country Music Hall of Fame before hitting the road.
