Our Trip to Las Vegas

Anyone that knows me, knows that Vegas isn't my dream vacation, far from it actually.  I went to Las Vegas about three years ago for a bachelorette party, but the last time with Adam was almost ten years ago.  I'm not sure if it was because the hotel and flight were picked up by Adam's company {he earned this trip for his success in 2019} or because we have two kids and a dog now, so any time away is treasured, but nevertheless, this trip was really, really good.

Traveling with someone that likes to vacation differently than you can be a challenge, but I think we nailed it this time.  We had an early night {a win for me!} and a late night {a win for Adam}.  We had an early morning {a result of going to bed at 8:30 the night we arrived -- haha!} and a slow morning as a result of staying out until nearly 2a!

I'm sure many of you have been to Las Vegas before, but in the event you're headed there soon, here were a few of our highlights...

Favorite Meals {listed first because #priorities}

We had an amazing brunch at Giada's {inside The Cromwell} and meal at Top of the World {on the 108th floor of The Stratosphere}.  Both were pricey, but good enough I would go back again.  If you like sushi, Koi was worth mentioning.  And still on our list to try when we go back is EggSlut and Biwon.  I have also heard {we ran out of time to confirm} that Gordon Ramsey - Burger is the best burger.  Ohh, and for late night food, you must order Secret Pizza.

Favorite Views

Even if you don't eat at The STRAT, I would recommend going up to see the view of the city from 100+ floors up.  In the evening, we saw the fountain show in front of the Bellagio nightly from the balcony of the suite at The Cosmopolitan.  Both offer great views of the city.

Favorite 'Things To Do'

You can take an Uber South of the strip to see Seven Magic Mountains {I loved it, Adam was underwhelmed} Also in that area is Exotic Racing, Machine Gun Shooting, and Dig This.  On your way back, make sure to have your driver stop at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.

Also while in Vegas, I cannot recommend Le Reve - The Dream enough.  The show is my favorite to date.  There is a reason it's been the top show in Las Vegas for nearly 10 years!

A few things we would do next time that we didn't get to this trip...

See ONE
Get dessert at Mayfair
Ride the Linq during Happy Hour
Take a helicopter to the Grand Canyon
Eat at Biwon, the Cleaver, EggSlut, and Gordon Ramsey - Burger

A few of you asked, we stayed at Planet Hollywood this time {the rooms were great, but I didn't love the casino itself -- the gambling wasn't great and the smoke was terrible.  We have also stayed at the Golden Nugget {in old Vegas -- great hotel, but not on the strip} and the Flamingo {would not recommend!} previously. If we ever go back, I would look into Aria or the Cosmopolitan.  Although my favorite place to gamble so far has been Paris Paris.
