Last Friday the kids were off school and I had a couple of appointments back in Des Moines, so afterwards we made our way to our favorite Apple Orchard, Center Grove. I was having flashbacks to my favorite trip to this apple orchard. The weather was dreamy -- 70's and sunny with a light breeze -- so we spent hours walking the corn maze, taking a hayride, picking apples, playing in the sunflower field, taking gunny sacks down the slides, playing in the corn bit, and jumping on the big jumping pillows. It was a Friday night at everyone else must have been at high school football games because we were there from 3:30-7 and it felt like we had the place to ourselves!
