10 Years

 We said when we got married, we were going to renew our vows every 10 years.  I couldn't be more proud that we took the time to go back to our wedding spot and recommit ourselves to each other.  It was a magical day, just the two of us.  It was very similar to our wedding day, same minister, same dress, and more rain.  One thing I said I wished I had done differently last time was writing our own vows, so we got the chance to do it this time.

Cheers to 10 years!
I'm proud of the life we've created and can't wait to celebrate again in 10 years!

Our niece got engaged! {& we got to be part of it!}

About a month ago, Adam's 2nd oldest niece got engaged to her boyfriend and we got to be part of the special night.  Bryan through a party at his farm and Adam's band played for the night.  Adam learned the song 'Speechless" and sang it while Bryan proposed to Aliya and it seriously could NOT have been more like a scene from a movie.  It was so.much.fun to witness!  We couldn't be more excited to celebrate another niece's wedding next summer!! I haven't met two people that 'get each other' more than these two.  They were meant to be for sure!

Illinois Wedding | Swimming, Dancing, & Shirley Temple Drinking

Adam's cousin got married last weekend, so we loaded up the kids and made our way to the QuadCities.  We had lunch at Sippy's in Davenport before crossing the river to Illinois.  We requested an early check in to allow for an afternoon of swimming and a quick nap before the wedding began!  Below are a few photos {camera & iPhone} of our little family followed by a couple of  videos of the kids dancing.  I love this stage with the kids.  They have so much fun at weddings now.  Plus they both got their first taste of Shirley Temple's so I'm sure that didn't hurt!  ;)
