Science Center | January 2015

I'll be honest, while we love the science center, it's somewhere that we just don't get as often as I'd like.  I used to take the kids' their often when I was a nanny, and we took Jordyn to the Science Center in Ann Arbor, MI when she was 18 months old {Cullyn technically when too, but he was just 6 weeks old}, but this was the first time we took the kids {now 3 & 1 1/2} to our local Science Center.
The result...they loved it!  The day before I ran into some friends of ours and invited them to come along.  It worked perfectly!  The dinosaur room & astrology section where a little advanced for them, but the kids had a blast running from the play structures, to the bubble zone, to the market, and more!  I'll let the photos speak for themselves, but this is definitely somewhere we want to go back to.  Most likely on another negative degree or 100 degree day! :)  ::fist pump for climate controlled areas!:: :)
The gift shop Cully 'stole' a book from!  {we returned it!}
Last thing...like a complete idiot, I grabbed my camera as we walked out the door, once we got to the Science Center I realized I had a 50mm prime lens on it {my photographer friends know what kind of mistake this was}.  So between that and the terrible lighting, these photos are 'interesting' :)

Always climbing!

It's been a while since I posted about a local adventure {Des Moines, Iowa area}, but here's another one for the series.

I've posted in the past about Art Class @ the Des Moines Art CenterElmo LiveiCubsShear MadnessB&B DeliTriad TumblingZoo TotsThe RitzBaconfestBackyard AdventuresSkyZoneSculpture ParkZoo TunesIowa State Fair 2012Iowa State Fair 2013, Iowa State Fair 2014Tubing at SevenOaks in BooneFree Little LibrariesJumpin Jacks, and tons of local Christmas Activities.  I've briefly mentioned the farmer's market {which is a pretty big deal here} few concert and shows, and tons of restaurants, but there are so many places we've been and things we've experienced around this city that I haven't even mentioned.  I'm assuming others would like local suggestions.

*None of these places have any clue who I am or what this little blog is.  I pay for our entrance/membership like any other customer and blog only my honest opinions.
