Lake House [2011 Updates Inside+Outside]

The following photos are of the updates to the lake house [from July-December 2011]  You can view the inside of our lake house here. And the photos of the outside here.  Stay tuned for our list of future projects! :)

Hold on...there are over 50 photos below.  I tried to group and label them so you can follow along! :)

First thing after buying the house, we [well, everyone but me] took almost everything out.  Pulled carpets, curtains, and painted the 'wood' paneling white.

Then we [Adam, his dad, & my dad] pulled out the kitty litter box rock garden fire place pit and installed new...

We [Ashley] primed, painted, and crackle painted the kitchen cabinets...

And added hardware...

Then we [I really did help Adam with this!] laid hard wood flooring in the kitchen/living room/hallway/closets...
Murdock Approves!
And we [my dad] replaced all lightswitch and outlet covers...

And we [again, my dad] added an outdoor faucet [with the kitchen plumbing]...

And we [Adam and his dad] carpeted all three bedrooms...

And we [my bil and LOTS of other helpers!] cleared [and cleared and cleared...if you get my drift] the yard...

We even found a [cement!] deer in the bushes!

Even the neighbor came over to help!
The kids helped, too!
Working from sun up to sun down a lot of weekends.

We installed a new ceiling fan in the living room...

After much debate, we got rid of the Car Port...

And the lattice work...

And leveled & seeded the yard...

We power washed the green/brown off the deck...

Oh yeah, I was preggo through all of this too...

There is no way we could have done all of this without the continued help of several friends and family members.  So thank you to my husband, my parents, my sisters, Brad, my in laws, my bil, our neighbor, and our friends Jesse, Jon, Jess, and Renee.  We will be paying you guys back for YEARS!  Thank you so much...there is always a cold beer in the fridge for you! :)
