34w1d [+bump]

How far along: 34w1d

Total weight gain: 26lbs *With 6 weeks left I'm afraid I'm going to go over my 30lb. goal! :(

Size and growth of the baby: about 4 3/4 lbs. & almost 18 inches long
From my weekly email:  Your baby's fat layers – which [s]he'll need to regulate body temperature after birth – are filling out, making your baby rounder.  The skin is also smoother than ever.  His/her central nervous system is maturing and the lungs are continuing to mature as well.  If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine.  They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Sex: nobody knows!

Maternity clothes: pants for sure!

Sleep: not terrible... lots of potty breaks and [slooowly] flipping sides

Best moment(s) of the week: taking a tour of the baby ward at the hospital and purchasing lots of little odds and ends before Baby H arrives

Movement: some...it has picked up again.  I woke with kicks to the ribs for the first time this week.

Food cravings/aversions: I can't get enough popcorn right now!

Morning sickness: is gone

Symptoms: still lots of pelvic pain

Belly button in or out: almost flat now

What I miss: having a Bacardi Razz during the football game

What I'm looking forward to: hearing the heartrate again next week.
