That's a Wrap...

I hope you all had a great Halloween [if not we wish you one...]
Our little Iowa Fan!!

[Friday]
Adam had band practice after work.  I came home, napped, and played with Murdock.  The neighbor lady came over and we made Mummy cookies [inspired by...but don't compare...or do if you want a good laugh!] for Halloween!  After Adam got home we went to a Halloween party at a friends house here in town.  We decided to dress up last minute, so we used costumes that we had in the closet from Halloween 2001.  I was a pregnant nun and Adam was a gynecologist [Dr. Willie Phister]  I know..childish and inappropriate!

[Saturday]
My parents came to town!!  We went to the local Farmer's Market.  Afterwards the boys went to shopping for boy stuff [insert names of tools and car parts here] and my mom and I went to Old Navy and Von Maur.  For dinner we went to my favorite Des Moines restaurant [801 Grand].  Delish!

[Sunday]
My dad and Adam spent the day bonding [or putting my 193 piece bench/shelving unit together and 3 other to-do list items..yes, they wanted to hurt me!]  Since they were cranky we snuck out and went shopping and down to the local East Village Bazaar for the afternoon.  I even purchased my first Christmas gift!! :)  We returned home to a sweet surprise...2 of my nieces and my sister-in-law stopped by for a bit!  Shortly after, everyone headed home.
It was so nice to spend so bonding time with my parents again and just hang out around home.  We are VERY busy until the end of 2010 and really needed this weekend.  I'm so fortunate to have parents who will make the time to come down and spend the entire weekend with us.  Adam & I are so blessed!
